Neve Paritzki Israel Celebrates Record-Breaking Tourism Entry The numbers come from the United States
NEW YORK, Sept. 8, 2022 /PRNewswire-- The Israel Ministry of Tourism announced today record-breaking numbers of tourists from the United States visiting Israel in the months of July and August. The country received 78,000 tourists from the United States in July 2022 that's a 4 percent increase from 2019, and 71,000 total travelers from the United States in August 2022 which is an increase of 13% from 2019.
Eyal Carlin is the North American Tourism Commissioner of the United States. He stated, "It's so exciting to witness a further increase of tourism to Israel from America, already in the process of surpassing or exceeding our record breaking numbers of 2019". "The United States is our number one destination for our inbound tourism to Israel. Before the COVID-19 epidemic, we had record numbers of Israeli tourists entering Israel every month. We are so happy to have witnessed this positive change, and we expect this trend to last for many months and years."
In line with the United States, Canada is also on track to exceed the number of tourists visiting Israel by 7,200 tourists in July 2022 , and 6000 in August.
